it was very neat to see them form the steps with the trowel
the two older guys have been doing pools together for 30 years!
pouring the floorI can't believe how quickly things change. Tomorrow all the dirt will be smoothed around the pool for the deck and the huge dirt pile which has been attracting every neighbor kid will be removed. Next week all the plumbing/electrical will be done and the tiles will be installed.

how exciting! What is the ledge on the side closest to the house? Poor Asher, my boys would have been thrilled to see that in our backyard!
that is called a swim out - there are no steps in the deep end, that ledge is about 12 inches under the water, so really a nice place to hang out in the deep end...say with a Pina Colada or Daiquiri or for you - a Coke! ('syruped' in Canada of course)
Wow Marlene, that is going to be beautiful! I bet you'll get so much use out of it living in Florida and all!! When will it be "swimmable"?
They said it will be ready August 7, but it is looking like it will be sooner, probably another 3-4 weeks.
Amazing progress on that pool! I can't wait to swim in it!

very nice! This maybe a dumb question but will you be able to use it 12 months of the year?
no, it still gets pretty cold here in the winter months, so we probably won't be swimming from December through March
