Thanksgiving weekend

We had a very enjoyable time down South. Thanksgiving in Vero was wonderful. The meal was delicious. On the menu was turkey and ham, stuffing, mash potatoes, corn, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, broccoli, cauliflower, rolls. There was such a variety of food and all so delicious. Desserts were awesome, apple pie, pecan pie, pumpkin cake, pumpkin cheese cake, and a chocolate trifle. It was all so very tasty. The hockey game in Tampa was a blast, and they won it in overtime. It was the first time the kids went to a game, so they were very excited. It was not a great weekend for pictures.

Happy Thanksgiving

Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!

We hope ya'll have a wonderful thanksgiving. We are heading down to Vero Beach, and then on Friday we are going to Tampa Bay, to watch a hockey game. We are anticipating a fun weekend. Maybe on Friday, Patricia and I will attack the crowds at the mall :). The official start to the holiday season, how exciting!!

Boys will be boys!!

When will they ever grown up? Here is the new 2001 Toyota Tundra, and the proud new owner Arie. There is nothing like a test drive on the beach :). Asher learned a new meaning of the word donut this weekend. "I thought we were getting donuts Arie?" lol. He thought it was pretty cool. I can already picture him and Matt and Calvin one day on the beach.

Visitors from North Carolina

This past weekend Arie, Andrea, Haley and Charity came to visit for a couple of hours. They arrived on Friday evening at 8 and left again Saturday at 4. Arie bought a truck off of Ebay, and it was in Jacksonville. It was a whirlwind of a visit, but we all had a great time. Arianna and Charity had a very fun time, playing and chatting till 12:00. Girls will be girls, even if they are only 7 and 8 years old.

Sweet Julianna

I couldn't resist posting these. Julianna woke up from her sleep before we went to bed and was so snuggly and sweet. I played around with the camera, while she was so calm. (it has so many options I don't know how or when to use).

You do your thing, I'll do mine

We didn't have a t-ball game on Saturday, so that got me thinking "what are we going to do with all our time?" Well, Asher's room needed to be painted. What a great idea. So I ordered the paint and my very capable painter husband started the job. Cor has painted every room in our home now...does that mean our house is going to be on the market soon? Don't worry it won't be :)

This Saturday for about 3 hours we all did different things, Cor painted, I cleaned the truck, the kids watched Cor and then got bored and did separate things, all the while sweet Julianna slept.

very carefully coating the roller
its an art, you know
the kids watching from the top bunk- out of daddy's way
so as not to critic the painting job, I mind my own and clean the truck (thoroughly enjoying myself and our new Keith Urban CD, hopefully the neighbors liked it too!)

3 different angles of Asher being very detailed about how he colors the "Old Glory"!

After all the work was done, we all went grocery shopping , purchased 3 gold fish named, Nemo, Tickles and Goldie, enjoyed pizza and watched "Hockey Night in Canada" in Jacksonville!

Snap shots of our visit

Well, you can't come to Florida without going to the beach. Even though Jon & Kel spent a week at Myrtle Beach, they wanted to go again (of course we don't mind). Here is Mr. Mom playing with the kids. Kel and I were sitting in our chairs reading and soothing Matthew. (more soothing than reading). Julianna decided not to get wet or dirty. Her kind of beach fun is sucking on the ice cubes. The excitement of the day was getting stuck in the sand. We went to the side of the beach that usually only those with 4x4's go... now we know why. It was a windy day, and you can see that the sand was drifting like snow.

Pumpkin Carving and Trick or Treating

The kids were very excited to go trick or treating together. We combined all our dress up clothes and came up with this. Kelley mentioned that it was very strange to go trick or treating in shorts!

Princess Hannah, Karate Man Jono, Baseball player Ash, Ballerina Arianna, and Lion Jobie
Giraffe Julianna and Elephant Luke
so so very cuteArianna with Luke,( I mean Matthew) a common phrase this past week!
